and Exploration for Students, Enthusiasts, and Professionals.

Ohm On The Range, Ltd. is a Colorado-registered Limited Liability Corporation. Operations are based in Arvada, CO (šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø) — serving students from our brand new classroom and EV-focused shop facility.

Origin

Launched January 1, 2022, the impetus for Ohm On The Range stemmed primarily from the dearth of accessible resources—at the time—for learning "how-to" properly and safely convert classic cars to electric.

Why

It didn't take long to realize there was a real need… not just for education but for hands-on training. Thus, a distinct path emerged: workforce development coupled with high-school CTE/STEM vocational instruction.

Community

Founder Terry Breheny is a proud member of the following: Colorado EV Coalition; Warren Tech Automotive Advisory Board; Drive Clean Colorado; Rocky Mountain Automotive Teacher Society (RMATS).

eMobility

Contracted by Denver Streets Partnership to manage the eBikes for Deliveries program—the first-of-its-kind—this novel concept helped reduce GHG emissions by replacing gas vehicle trips with electric cargo bikes!

Train-the-Trainer

Though Terry and his team have completed EV-centric training from a broad variety of reputable sources—whether in-person or online—they are still always learning in their ongoing effort to stay "current" (šŸ˜‰).

Xcel Energy

Adult Training

As a result of a 2-year strategic partnership with Xcel Energy, Ohm On The Range will be offering "bootcamp"-style training for adults looking to further their understanding of the components, theory, and safety of DIY EV conversion projects. New for 2026: hands-on instruction utilizing the EV Trainer Cart from industry pioneer EV West.

“State of Charge”

The only event of its kind—now in its 5th year—SOC is an Educational Conference for Performance EV Conversions. We've hosted guests from 33 US states and 6 countries, and showcased countless conversions — from a low-budget, student-built Kei truck, to a dual-motor, AWD Lamborghini Aventador (…and everything in between)! Sponsors and speakers represent the very best of the #EVswap community. See what the excitement is all about, and enjoy a few snaps, below.

SOC26.com (coming Spring)
"State of Charge has become more than an annual event. It is the central meeting ground for a young but fast-growing industry. For anyone with an interest in EV conversions, whether they are students, seasoned builders, or business owners, this is the place to be. It is where new technologies debut, where mistakes turn into lessons, and where community spirit continues to drive the industry forward." — EV Builder's Guide (Winter '25)
